ASSESSMENTS
Whether I am consulting, educating or coaching, I find appropriate assessment tools helpful to my clients and their progress. In the workplace, I use these instruments for organization and/or employee development, not for evaluation. When an individual comes to me for personal coaching, assessments such as a personality test or an empathy profile are often invaluable for self-reflection and growth.
Examples of some of the formal assessments I use are:
- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator™
- Hogan Personality Inventory
- Hogan Development Survey
- The Communication Wheel
- Clark Wilson Publishing 360 Degree Feedback Surveys (Management,
Leadership, Executive Leadership, Peer Relations, Coaching, Team Skills)
- SYMLOG
- Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument
- LaMonica Empathy Profile
In addition, for organizational diagnosis I conduct interviews, send out informational questionnaires, and observe individuals and groups. When necessary I also include a formal survey process, such as employee satisfaction surveys or culture and climate surveys.
My clients tell me that the assessments they experience when working with me have been invaluable in terms of helping them learn about themselves and planning for personal and professional growth. |
